Merry Prankster is Varun Mohta born 12th July 1984 in India
His 1st psychedelic party was in delhi 99-2000 when he went to hear goa gil
and he had heard psy music earlier activa morlack, absolum liked it but goa gil changed the way he heard itand had a profound impression on his mind and ears.
After that back in bombay started goin to the scenes, exploring psychedelics and really got into it from listening
point just in awe of the whole psy trance party scene, memorable ones being - fugus funk, neuromotor, earlly digital talk , analog pussy, gil, gow, theo many more but these being the most memorable and for many nights of mayhem by none other than the best home act always Dj Tool
He tries to make tracks with heavy kik bass, colourful textured twisted leads and subtle but emotive atmoshpheres He aims to create emotions in people through his music whatever they may be!! He likes to write nightime music mostly but more broadly he like his tracks to have a interesting story and should take the people to an alternate level of consciousness.
As of now varun has a solo project called merry prankster and with karan they become THE MERRY PRANKSTERS
