Datakult is Raphael
Befort's project.
a french guy long time passionnated for trance music.
He got involved into the psychedelic scene around 1992.
Very quickly, feeling the need to create music he started
learning composing with Ben (Odds/Flying Rhino).
Later, he formed Droidsect with Digitaltalk and Monsterplant,
defining new direction in psytrance.
But after a few years of intensive collaboration and some
releases on labels such as Parvati and 3DVision, he got bored by
the all-the-same sound of psytrance, and after experimenting
some other styles ranging from electro to hardcore, he's coming
back on the psyscene with his solo project DATAKULT, with the
unique goal to create a strong psychedelic experience. Always
playing with extremes ,his music is dedicated to impact the
mind, pushing the limits, no matter the damages.
